Michigan Physical Therapist Association, Inc.

Client: The Michigan Physical Therapist Association, Inc. (MPTA), a trade group providing education, training, and professional development services for physical therapists in Michigan.

Purpose: The MPTA is organized as four geographic regions in the state; the MPTA wanted to provide a uniform and easy-to-use interface for regional representatives to publish content on the MPTA website.

Orbro customized our modular site manager framework so that the MPTA central office could create accounts for regional directors, and the regional directors could then in turn login to the MPTA website and post calendar items and news announcements. Orbro continues to extend and revise the features available through the framework for the regional pages.

Michigan Science Teachers Association

Client: The Michigan Science Teachers Association, a member organization for science teachers in Michigan.

Purpose: Improve communication between the members of the association and its board of directors.

When: 2003 to present

The MSTA website includes a board area developed by Orbro that includes several content management features:

• Regional pages having announcements, links, downloads, and calendar items posted by regional directors
• Public website links submitted by website visitors that are reviewed and approved by the technology director
• Information pages for affiliated organizations maintained by appointed liasons

To assist with communication, the board area includes a "communication center" for sending messages to other board members, to board committees, and to the membership.
