The Orbro Testing System has been used and customized for several customer applications, including:

• College student course placement
• Online certification exams
• Diagnostic testing of high school students to determine areas of weaknesses in preparation for college entrance exams and state assessments

One of the premier uses of the OTS has been by the Greater Flint Educational Consortium (GFEC). This Michigan consortium of 21 public school districts, their regional educational service agency, the Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) and local higher education institutions deliver a 'mock placement exam' based on the mathematics placement exams of the higher education institutions to allow for intervention or remedial instruction as appropriate before students get to college.
